A Note from 2018 Country Fair Co-Chairs, Jennifer Albanese Musolf and Amanda Wayman
First and foremost, we are so excited to Co-Chair the 2018 Country Fair, the 50th Anniversary of this iconic event! We know how much time and energy goes into this beloved event and we are very grateful for the opportunity and privilege to put together another wonderful weekend of food, fun, and memories. The Country Fair takes hours and hours of invaluable volunteer time and takes a village to organize. Lucky for us in the St. Mary community, we have a very strong village.
A little about us!
Jennifer, Class of '89, as well as her two siblings, Nicole '86 and Michelle '94, all attended St Mary School. Their father, Tom Albanese '60 was also a student here at St Mary! Jennifer is married to Benjamin and together they have two daughters both currently attending St Mary, Gianna in 6th grade and Olivia in 3rd grade.
Amanda is married to Clay and they have three children, Capri in 5th grade and two little ones who will someday be at school with their big sister! Delaney 2 ½ years old and Oliver who will be 1 years old in July.
Needless to say, we have our work cut out for us! This event does so many wonderful things with the funds raised for our children’s school and our parish that all the hours spent planning is very rewarding!
For all of your who supported last years fair, thank you for your generous sponsorship!!. It was a huge success and could not have been done without each and every person who contributed to it. Sponsorships are truly the foundation which the Country Fair can be built upon and thanks to you Lindsay DeMaestri and Dawn Shannon were able to throw an outstanding event!
In addition to being able to purchase tickets during the fair in the Information and Ticket Booth as well as Butler Ticket booths, this year we are doing our best to make anything prior to the fair obtainable via online for payments regarding fair t-shirts, butler tickets, food, drink and game tickets, event tickets (pancake breakfast, bingo, italian dinner) and sponsorships! The link to do so should be up soon! We will still offer downloadable copies of forms needed for these items if you choose to pay with a check.
There will be a CASH ONLY line at the Info and Ticket Booth this year which will help get fair goers get what they need a little faster!
Also a new awesome feature, thanks to parishioner, Tom Beck for setting up our new online volunteer system! Now from the comfort of your own home or office you can set up your shift requests and even get a reminder when you are due to arrive! This is for students who need volunteers hours, as well as current parents of students at the school and also our ever faithful parishioners! Thank you for volunteering!
The car raffle is no longer this year. Instead we are doing a larger cash raffle of $25000! We will still have a General Raffle with lots of great items to try and win!
Please keep checking back here for updates on the fair, things are ever changing and we want to keep you up to speed on everything fair!
We look forward to another wonderful Fair weekend! Always great memories to be make at the St Mary Country Fair! Thank you again for your support!
Jen and Amanda
