Looking forward to seeing you at the fair on October 4, 5, & 6, 2019

Welcome to the 51st Annual St. Mary Country Fair!

When I attended St. Mary School, I remember the feeling of excitement from all of the students when the rides began to arrive…waiting to see if the Gravitron and the Super Slide would return, and what other rides would be “ours” for the weekend. We waited a whole year for Ms. Lynott’s loaded baked potatoes, the best things our tickets could buy, and we couldn’t wait to see who would get enough game tickets to get the best prizes at the prize booth. The first Friday of October was always our favorite. Not only did we get out of school early, but it was time for the best weekend of the year - the Country Fair!

Fast forward to today…I am 23, an alumna of St Mary School, and a parishioner. I volunteered to be the Fair Chair because I could not imagine my “younger self” not experiencing the Fair each October. St. Mary School prepared me in in countless ways for my success in high school and college; now, it is my turn to give back to the school that helped shape me into the person I am today.

The Country Fair is a wonderful event that brings our community together. Thank you to each and every person who helped us plan and prepare for the 2019 Country Fair. Without all of our amazing volunteers, the fair would not be possible. Whether you dance the night away, ride the rides as many times as possible, or simply enjoy the food and drinks, I hope you all make lasting memories with your friends, family, and community at the 51st Annual Country Fair.

One of the first things I remember hearing of when I moved to Los Gatos was the St Mary Country Fair. I have so many fond memories running around with my friends, deciding what rides to go on and eating all of the delicious food that the fair has to offer! I even had the opportunity to perform at the fair with my taekwondo studio one year and it was such a great experience!

Having the chance to see the “behind the scenes” of the fair has been such an eye opening adventure. It is incredible to watch so many people from our community come together and plan such a huge event for not only the school and the parish, but the town of Los Gatos as a whole.

I cannot believe that this is the 51st St Mary Country Fair! Thank you to everyone who volunteered, donated, and took time to make this event the amazing experience that it is. It wouldn’t be what it is without all of you!  I hope you enjoy a weekend full of games, rides, music, food, friends and more!
